What They Do

Farmin, intends to change the current farming practices by offering an agriculture management platform that allows government regulators and farmers to perform a quick analysis for the land of interest and obtain useful performance metrics with just few clicks. Farmin is a remote-sensing platform that utilizes satellite images and processes them using Artificial Intelligence (AI). The platform can be used for a variety of tasks including monitoring yields, visualizing growth, predicting outbreaks, managing resources efficiently, maximizing yield, and predicting harvest.

About the founder

Farmin consists of two team members; Dr. Ali AlHammadi (CEO) and Dr. Mohammed Abutaqiya (CTO); Both graduated with Ph.D. in chemical and biomolecular engineering from Rice University and developed codes implemented by major oil companies. Dr. AlHammadi is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Khalifa University with over 5 years of experience in computational modeling, and nanotechnology.

Dr. Abutaqiya is currently working as the Director of Computational Research at ENNOVA LLC; an oil and gas consultant company based in Houston, Texas. He has over 5 years of experience in the field of model development, data processing, and mathematical optimization.
