Members of MBRIF’s Innovation Accelerator program came together for the 7th graduating cohort’s Demo Day. Each of these members represented some of the most innovative and disruptive companies from around the world. Demo Day served as a platform for MBRIF members, representing a number of priority sectors including, Health, Technology, Water, Clean Energy, Education and Transport to show case their innovation and capabilities.
In the audience were investors, partners and MBRIF Advisory Committee members, where the members were given 3 minutes to pitch their unique business model in order to highlight how their product is poised to disrupt and advance the UAE market.
Hosted by Entrepreneur Middle East Editor in Chief Aby Sam Thomas, it featured a welcome address by Shaker Zainal, Head of MBRIF and Chief mSMEs Officer at Emirates Development Bank and a fireside chat with HRH Khaled bin Alwaleed Al Saud, which explored the current investment landscape from both a global and regional perspective. The pitches were followed by a networking session where the judging panel and audience members had a chance to pose questions to the businesses presenting.
Some of the biggest and influential names from the entrepreneurial ecosystem served as panelist –
