SonoStik LLC was founded in 2013 by a team of doctors and biomedical engineers associated with The George Washington University Medical School. The company’s purpose is to develop innovative vascular access technologies and accessories to facilitate quick, successful insertion of peripheral intravenous (IV) catheters. SonoStik’s first device is particularly effective for patients with veins which are difficult to find, easy-to-use and compatible with the latest portable ultrasound technologies.

SonoStik LLC was founded in 2013 by Dr. Hawaa Almansoori along with a team of doctors and biomedical engineers associated with The George Washington University Medical School. Dr. Hawaa Almansoori has over 20 years experience in the industry in addition to being the first winner of the UAE Presidential Scholarship to study Medicine and the first foreign woman to graduate from GWU Medical School.
Dr Hawaa was given the UAE Pioneer Award in 2014, which was presented to her by His Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. She is a presented Director at Imperial College London Diabetes Center in Abu Dhabi.
