Aqlama offers a Data as a Service (DaaS) that collects, validates, and annotates speech datasets for AI and machine learning purposes, focusing on building industry-specific virtual assistants by enhancing language, dialect, and voice-based technology.
• Dr. Fayeq Oweis(Founder & CEO): Former Language Manager at Google for 10 years and the recipient of the Mohammed bin Rashid Arabic Language Award. Fayeq has been in the language industry for over 20 years and worked as an educator, translator, reviewer, QA validator, and language manager. He holds a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies with Concentration on Arabic and Islamic Studies.
• Subreen Abdelhalim (Co-founder & HR): looks after recruitment and English language-related projects. Subreen also manages the Hope Rehabilitation Program in Palestine and has previously worked as an English tutor. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies.
• Abdalrahman Al-Khatib (COO): 15+ years of experience in Data and AI-related fields. He holds a Masters degree in AI and ML.
