The Innovation Journeys series is a monthly conversation series on LinkedIn Live conceptualized by MBRIF, where live audiences can watch the world’s talented minds discuss their startup and entrepreneurial journeys, the challenges and roadblocks they faced and how to overcome them. The series is moderated and hosted by Shaker Zainal the Head of MRBIF and Chief mSMEs Officer at EDB. He navigates the session with the guest finding out how they made their way to success followed by a Q&A session from the live audience as well.

The latest episode focused on Ahmed Tameemi, co-founder and one of the minds behind Holofair - MENA's leading 3D virtual platform for brands and experiences. Ahmed and Holofair have already bagged quite a few prestigious awards for their work and have hosted 3D events for many well-established enterprises and governments. This session was all the more special as Ahmed himself is a MBRIF Alumni, and uniquely placed as a home-grown UAE business to share his personal and professional journey in the burgeoning Metaverse domain. Ahmed’s first-hand account of taking a business idea from thought to execution, the need to pivot when required to stay relevant and his predicted trends on the Metaverse and what lies ahead added a lot of value to the proceedings.
