MBRIF at COP28 UAE

Dubai, December 9, 2023 – It was a pleasure for MBRIF to be present at Cop28 UAE - a critical moment for global transformative climate action, from 1st – 12th December 2023 at Expo City Dubai. The landmark climate conference which saw global and industry leaders come together to reach an agreement to tackle climate change, was the perfect platform for MBRIF to display its commitment to remain at the forefront of fostering innovation towards achieving net-zero.

Some of the key highlights from the 2 weeks at COP28 UAE were the MBRIF Innovation Symposium which included an enlightening panel discussion with MBRIF Alumni and Partners about the crucial role of innovation in achieving net-zero, and a keynote by Alumni Paula Newby that dove into how technology specifically AI can help drive social equality across organizations.

Attendees also got to witness some of the most innovative pitches at Pitch@Gov by MBRCGI, another one of MRBIF’s key partners. The challenge this time around focused on addressing Energy Transmission and Decarbonization as well as waste segregation to help divert waste away from landfills in the UAE.

The presence of MBRIF at COP28 UAE would have been incomplete without our Ecovisionaries – alumni who are making major strides in innovating towards net-zero.

Alumni like Wahaj Solar, Fortyguard, Alesca Technologies, Mruna, Digital Energy AI, Avani, Ecoloo and Terrax were present at their respective start-up pods at Expo City, using the opportunity to network and spread the word of their mission and work in aiding the decarbonization and transition towards net-zero.
